I completed a few smaller projects this past week, but that was after the completion of Lisa's Gazebo assembly in Old Hickory. It came together nicely, and then I mounted the legs into the cement footings that I set the previous week. Then I hung the enclosure and mosquito netting.
The Verdei Group property management called me out to patch a ceiling hole in a unit that they manage after a plumbing leak was repaired. I'll be going back to spray texture, prime, and then paint later.
Brian and Allison are new clients of our in Arrington, TN that I had recently replaced an exterior door for, and completed a ceiling repair for them as well. They called me back out to do a ceiling repair over their front porch, and match their existing paint. First I used a PVA primer before painting after I sanded the final top coat of joint compound.
A facility management company out of Florida reached out to me this past week as well. They manage the Ashley Furniture stores in Middle Tennessee, and around the south. I was asked to install a new FDC sign (Fire Dept Connection) outside of the Ashley store in Mount Juliet, and then asked me to put un a new handicap parking sign at an Ashley location in Cookeville, TN also. That store needed a new floor transition in their showroom as well.

Another busy week last week. It started with the completion of an exterior door installation and painting project that I began at the end of the previous week in the Kings Chapel neighborhood in Arrington, TN. I also painted the entire back inside wall around the window as well after doing some drywall repairs around the door.
I also returned to our clients Spring Hill where I wrapped up the staining of their back stair case and landing. I finished up the last part of their multi task project which was the painting of some bare exposed wood that was never painted after the addition of their upper porch.
Another client of ours in Mt Juliet determined where water was penetrating into their house right inside their exterior French Doors. Once the the leak was identified and repaired, I was called back in to replace the damaged subfloor and patch in the flooring as well. They didn't have enough extra flooring to patch it in, and they ordered more. I'll be going back to finish that up soon.
Lisa, a regular client of ours called on me to assemble & install a new gazebo in the middle of her back yard. She didn't want a deck or platform of any kind, so we opted to set 4 concrete footings that the legs of the gazebo can be anchored down into. I used string, a string level, and stakes to ensure that all the footings where at the same level. Average curing times for the high strength concrete is around 3 to 7 days before I can anchor anything into them, so I'll be returning there at the end of the up coming week to finish with the gazebo installation.

New clients in the Kings Chapel neighborhood in Arrington, TN called me out there to install a new exterior back door. There were also some minor wall repairs that needed to be done on the inside as well. The inside of the door, and the casing received 1 coat of paint so far, but the door will need a 2nd coat. This coming week I will paint the outside of the door, and the brick molding trim, 2 coats as well. I was referred by someone on the neighborhood's Facebook page who may have seen my new ad in King's Chapel's Stroll Magazine publication which is distributed to all the residents there.
The previous week (Projects of the Week 03/28/26), I finished up with the priming of all the raw wood posts and trim for both the 1st and 2nd level porches for our new clients, Kelly and Chelsea in Spring Hill. Including the new trim that I installed on the 1st level at the top of each of the screened openings. This past week I painted all the primed wood inside the screened porches on both levels, and then stained their back stairway and landings as well using a dark semi-transparent stain that gives it a rustic uneven look that still shows much of the natural wood grain.

This past week I wrapped up the drywall repair and wall finishing project for Cecilia at Midtown Loft in Nashville. I sanded the patches to a level 4 smooth wall finish, and re-installed some more of the trim as well. I also re-installed the toilet after I painted behind it.
I also began a series of multiple projects for new clients in Spring Hill this past week. Tasks include: Multiple ring cameras, light fixtures, trim installation, outdoor stairway staining, and painting. These are photos of what I've done so far, excluding the Ring cameras which I didn't get photos of. They have screened in porches on both the first and second floors. I installed new trim header pieces at the top of the screened openings for the first floor porch, then primed all the raw would trim. Including the the new trim that I installed and some existing trim that was never painted.

I spent just about all this past week on a drywall repair project for Cecilia, a new client who owns a unit at Midtown Loft in Nashville. This complex has 3 floor, and Cecilia's unit is on the 2nd floor. There was a leak that came down from the 3rd floor unit right above hers, and the leak affected her unit, and the unit below hers as well. Damage was done in the Master Bathroom around the tub/shower, and the dining area. As well as a couple areas in the Master Bedroom. She just had the tub/shower re-tiled, and some of the drywall in the bathroom had been hung before I got there. I installed wood backing in some areas, finished up the drywall patches, installed new corner bead where needed, taped the joints and applied the first coat of joint compound. I then floated the walls in the bathroom to prepare for final sanding.
This coming week I will float the wall in the dining area, and the other patches to prepare them for sanding as well. After that I will sand all the repaired areas so they will be ready for primer and paint. Then re-install existing baseboard in some areas, and new baseboard in most of the repaired areas. I will also re-install the door jamb on one side, and then re-hang the door.

Julian, a regular client in Franklin, TN started a project, but realized after he started that it was a little too much for him, so he called me to come take care of it for him. He attempted to install some acoustic paneling onto the wall behind his TV and realized that there were many cuts involved for around the TV mount, outlets and switches. I have a lot of experience making these kinds of cuts, so I finished it up for him, and probably in less time than it would have taken him.
Al, another regular client who owns a rental duplex in Lebanon, TN that I've done various tasks on already, ask me to return, and install a new metal railing on the front porch of one of the units. Including for the stairs.
Doug, who I've just completed a few projects for recently wanted their siding cleaned on one side of his house that tends to stay wet longer than the other parts of his house, so mold and algae tend to grow faster there. I used a product called "Mold Armor", which not only cleans it, but helps to prevent it from growing back. I also pressure washed his front porch area including the stone porch deck, stairs, railing, and siding.
Finally, Janna from the Walnut Grove neighborhood in Mount Juliet who I painted two bedrooms for her a couple weeks prior asked me to return and paint a 3rd bedroom.

I spent a good part of this last week wrapping up Lisa's deck facelift project. It's definitely one of my favorite projects. She wasn't in any rush so I broke up the project into chunks of time through the month of February, and we were both excited that it was completed. The deck is covered under a car port, so the wood is in very good shape, with little signs of weathering. I was able to sand nearly all the old finish off the existing parts of the deck down to bare wood. Including the posts, stairs, and deck boards. I started a few weeks back by removing the old lattice, and covering much of the bottom portion of the deck with new lumber. All of it has been stained using a water based, semi-transparent stain in a Cedar Natural Tone color. I brought in a few photos from previous albums I've posted during February, including the "Before" photos to show the progress up to completion.
I also went back to Mary's, a new client of ours in Old Hickory who I did painting work for the previous week on her back screenhouse. I masked off, and re-painted her front door trim, and I also painted her attic vents which aren't pictured here. Mary had asked me to install new door sweeps on both her new screen house door, which I also installed the previous week, and a new sweep on her back door as well.
