A couple weeks ago I began my regular client Lisa's back patio/deck facelift. She isn't in a hurry to have it done, and I've been able to go back to it when some time in my schedule has freed up. Here are a couple photos of her project from a couple weeks ago, and then some of the railing that I worked on this past week. 

Another regular client of ours in the Walton's Grove neighborhood of Mount Juliet called me back to paint a couple bedrooms for her using the same color in each room. I'll be going back and doing a 3rd bedroom in the coming week or two as well.

Marcia, a client in Nashville who I performed a couple tasks for a couple years ago asked me to install a few grab bars in her bathroom for her and her husband who are getting up their in age. Her husband Carl has had increasing mobility issues recently, so it was urgent that I get these grab bars installed for them ASAP.

I started a new series of projects for Mary, a new client in Old Hickory, TN. The first task was to sand, clean and paint all the framing for her back screenhouse, and I also installed a new screen door for it.

The previous week I set the post for a little fence that my client Doug was asked by the HOA to build to hide his trash bins. This past week I finished the rest of the fence. I also wrapped up the patch for a channel that was cut to run a new outlet, and then primed & painted the area. Then I mounted his TV.

The Verdei Group (property management) asked me to take care of various tasks at a property they manage up in Clarksville. Just a few pictured here are 2 new exterior outlet cover boxes, a new toilet seat (and clean the toilets), removed all the leaves from the back deck, and a new window latch.

I finished up with two new clients at Kings Chapel in Arrington this past week. One of them I began the previous week when I cut out 3 holes in the ceiling in the location of the ceiling mounts above their bar to inspect what kind of support will be needed. This past week I attached more wood blocking to the ceiling joists so that all 4 of the screws needed for each support base will have enough wood to screw into. I then patched in the drywall, floated joint compound over the taped joints, then came back to sand, apply PVA drywall primer, and then finally painted. After that was all done I installed the new pipe/glass shelf unit.

David, the other new client in Kings Chapel who I installed a new cooktop for the previous week asked me to come back and install a new cabinet trash bin kit. Their old ones was rickety and falling apart, and he is much happier with this new one.

This week saw a surge of projects, with some starting and extending into the next week. Beth, a regular client from the Del Webb community in Mount Juliet, requested the replacement of broken toe kick material for her downstairs kitchenette cabinets. Additionally, new 1/4 round shoe molding was installed at the face of the toe kick. I also hung a few items for her including a mirror and painting.

David, a new client from Kings Chapel in Arrington, TN, contacted me to replace his cooktop with a newer model. The existing countertop opening was too small, so it needed to be enlarged to fit the new cooktop. For dust control, I tented off the area before beginning work. Using an angle grinder, I carefully trimmed down some of the stone around the opening. 

We have recently partnered with a property management company, and my first task assignment was to re-attach a couple of drawer fronts that had popped off at a property they manage in Nashville. I used wood glue & brad nails, and I also shot a few brad nails into the other drawers to prevent the detachment of those drawer faces.

This past week I also began a series of multiple projects for a new client who lives in the River's Edge neighborhood of Old Hickory (East Nashville). One of the tasks is a small 3 foot fence that the HOA wanted him to have built to help hide his trash cans. I'm also in the process of patching the cutouts where he had some wiring run for a new outlet above their mantle for a TV.

Travis, another new client from Kings Chapel in Arrington, TN, reached out to me to install a distinctive glass and pipe shelf unit in their bar/nook space. Initially, I assessed that extra wooden blocking must be added into the ceiling to bear the weight of the shelf unit and the objects that will be placed on it. I made three holes in the ceiling where the additional support blocking will be installed.

This past week started out coming out of a couple weeks of many people enduring and recovering from a crippling winter storm. Fallen tree limbs caused by the weight of enormous amounts of ice are still all over the Nashville area in every neighborhood. Many of these fallen limbs left 100s of 1000s without power for long stretches of time. My regular client Lisa also had a few limbs that had fallen in her yard that I cut up, and moved to the front of her house. Towns have made plans to remove this tree debris from the roadside to help with the management of it all. Then I secured some of her insulation in her attic using wire insulation supports.

In the previous Projects of the Week album I posted photos of damage caused by a pipe bursting from freezing. After it all had dried a drywall company came in and did a great job getting it all patched up. I came back in, applied primer to the new drywall & texture, then placed new insulation up in the attic, and then painted.

This past week was a little slow due to the winter storm that came through, and our street was iced in for a couple days. Once I got out I went to a new regular client's house to replace her chandelier that I had replaced last week, but she didn't like it, and picked up a different one.

Later in the week I returned to Third Coast Salt Day Spa where the owner Shari asked me to assemble an install a new 3 person Halotherapy and Red Light Therapy booth. I didn't know anything about what this booth does until after I was finished, and studied it some. It supposed to do amazing things for your skin and help reduce inflammation in your airways and skin. Red light helps with recovery at the cellular level. Finally, a woman who is working for a property management company reached out to me for help. A tenant had a pretty major leak, most likely from a pipe burst due to the extreme cold. After a plumber fixed the leak, I went in, cleaned up all the wet drywall and insulation, dabbed up some of the water, removed the wet insulation in the attic, sucked up most of the water with my wet/dry vacuum, and placed my air mover in the room to help with drying the carpet. We also ventilated the room really well. Fortunately, the tenant Nick and his family can stay in another part of the house while the area dries, and Nick placed his portable heater in the room as well. A drywall company is scheduled to come and assess what needs to be done next. Most likely more drywall will have to be removed and more drying time will be needed before they can hang new drywall on the ceiling. Later, after the new drywall is in, and its all dry up there, I will go back up in the attic to place new batts of insulation in the bays above the new drywall. After that's all done, I'll go back in apply new PVA drywall primer and paint on the repaired ceiling areas.

The first task I did this past week was to hang a couple mirrors for a regular client in Mt Juliet

Then James, a new client of ours in Hermitage who is becoming a regular client called me back to finish installing two more shelves in his basement storage area. He had done a great assembling most of the wooden unit, but the bottom two shelves needed to be secured into the cinder block wall, and I had the proper tools to make that happen.

Laurie, a client of ours in Franklin has a rental that I've done work on in the past. She reached out to me this past week and wanted me to install a couple of new vanities in her hall and Master Bathroom. After removing the old vanities, there was a bit of wall finishing and painting that had to be done before installing the new ones. They both also required that I installed new drain plumbing, so I opted for new higher quality rigid PVC pipes and fittings to insure a more solid and sturdy install. Just in case the new tenants bang items up against the pipes there will be a lot less chance of leakage or damage. I also installed new baseboard at the toe kick in front of the cabinets, and caulked all around. Then touched up the paint. I also hung new blinds in the kitchen after patching holes where the old blinds where, and touched up the paint. Then lastly I installed a new porch light and doorbell button at the front door.

Lucille, A new client in Hermitage, TN called me to touch up damage to her wall that was caused by the installation of her new countertop and sidesplash. I skimmed a little drywall mud over the area, sanded it, and then used the paint she had left over to touch up the paint. I also used a sanded grout caulking around the entire top of the new countertop backsplash as well.

Beth from the Del Webb neighborhood in Mt Juliet called me back for a few tasks this past week as well. I installed 4 new cabinet knobs on the cabinets in her downstairs unit, installed a new door knob, filled in the baseboard behind her fridge, and installed 1/2" shoe molding around the bottom of the railing at the top of her stairs. I also removed an old elongated toilet thayt as leaking, installed a new higher round toilet. The elongated model stuck out too far in this small 1/2 bath and the round toilet gives her more room so the door can close easier. She asked me to secure some wooden slats down on to a metal bed frame so she didn't have to use a box spring so the bed would be lower. She wants to use it as a day bed now instead.

James, a new client in Hermitage, TN where he lives with his family reached out to me to assist with a large "to-do" list. Some of the tasks included replacing & setting new landscape lighting, new caulking around the top of the shower pan, re-plumbed the sink in the outdoor kitchen, unclogged a drain in a bathroom, replaced the stop in a bathroom, replaced a rotted piece of baseboard outside the shower, then installed and replaced an old toilet handle assembly that was corroded. The only way to remove was to use my Dremel roto tool and cut it out. I also took care of a few other things not pictured here as well. I changed out a light switch. installed a new doorbell, re-hung a curtain rod, touched up the paint in a few areas after wall repairs, and installed a new silicone rubber water barrier at the bottom of their glass shower door.

Al, a regular client of ours called me back out to his rental property where I had done a few projects at earlier in 2025 which included installing new doors, and assembled his cabinets just to name a couple. This time he had me install a couple new handrails. One at each unit's back stair case.

Another regular client of ours asked me to take care of a few tasks at an assisted living facility where a family member will be living at soon. I mounted a new TV, assembled a bin/shelf unit, and installed a couple new curtain rods w/curtains. 

Our long time regular client Linda asked me to come back down to her beautiful home in Thompson Station to hang a couple things including a large mirror, and then took down some of her Christmas decorations. Linda's Golden Doodle Layla kept me company while she supervised.

There wasn't a whole lot of work during Christmas and New Years, and I combined the few projects that I did complete during the last couple weeks into this one album.

Before Christmas my Nephew came to visit and he helped me out for a couple projects. I used my little chain saw to cut up a large limb that fell in the common area of a subdivision that my client manages (The Verdei Group), and hauled it away in my SUV.

Another property the Verdei Group manages in Nashville needed me to extend a drainage pipe to keep water from the building to prevent staining, and help protect the foundation from being damaged by the water as well. I also patched a hole in one of the stairwells, and then painted the two walls.

A regular client of mine in Mount Juliet asked me to patch a few holes that were left by a repair job he had done on his dryer vent system. 3 holes above the dryer, and one hole in the food pantry. I patched, and floated the first coat of joint compound, and he said that he would finish it out and paint the two areas.

Beth, a new regular client who lives in the Del Webb neighborhood in Mount Juliet asked me to install new flooring & shoe molding at the bottom of her stairs going into the basement which was left undone before she purchased the house earlier in 2025.
