The shower/tub replacement continues for our regular clients, Ricky & Darlene. We originally were called out there after they had a drain stoppage, and their toilet backed up, then water flooded there toilet room. An abatement company came and cleaned everything up, and cut the damaged drywall out 2 feet up the wall. Ricky wanted us to replace the drywall, and finish the wall. However, they have been contemplating to update their bathroom for years, and now are using this opportunity to get it done, and they wanted our team to do it.
This was also the first week for my new team member to show his skill level in many areas including carpentry, drywall repair, and plumbing. Our new team member is named Danford (aka Dan), and he did an amazing job framing in the new 2" x 6" back shower wall, and re-running the plumbing for an outside hose spigot. He also framed in the new pony wall, which isn't complete yet, but we will complete that based on the finished depth of the new Wedi Systems shower pan. We also laid out the new location for the free standing tub drain, and will be re-running the drain plumbing next.
Meanwhile, while Dan was working at the shower/tub project, I ran around servicing our other clients needs including a new vanity light fixture, bi-fold door, and re-attached some crown molding in a kitchen. I engaged in a few small projects last week, and some aren't pictured here. Including a small task for BJ's Warehouse Club where I covered the cement bollards with plastic covers at their tire bay that provides softer protection for cars bumping into them by accident.
