We don't usually do these larger projects, but we made an exception for these special clients who have been going through some trying times. It took us through the summer working on it only a few days a week between other jobs, but we finally completed the multiple phase project, and the duplex went on the market.
The owner completed much of the work on the kitchen cabinets, and helped out in other areas as well. Triumph Handyman Services was responsible for the installation of doors & jambs, new flooring, most of the wall finishing, including painting, vanity cabinets, light fixtures, finished plumbing, and replaced most of the molding & trim. As well as some of the other details like new shelving in the closets & pantries, and door hardware.

This week we engaged in a few small projects not really worth taking photos of, or are not completed yet. I did manage to complete two door installations. One was a new barn door for a master bathroom in Mount Juliet, which didn't have a door at all when the new homeowners bought the place.
The other door was a main entry door for one of the units at a 148 unit town home complex in South Nashville managed by The Verdei Group out of Franklin, TN. This complex was erected a long time ago, and I had to completely re-trim the extended jamb using new PVC trim boards. I finished it flush with the existing trim be filling the joints. PVC is really easy to work with, and is completely weather and rot proof. I re-used the fluted exterior casing also after scraping and sanding it, and the other existing trim as well.

This project is a joint effort by both Me, Triumph Handyman Services, LLC, and Trevor White, an amazing Electrician who has almost 30 years of experience, and is the owner of White's Electrical Services. After the trenching, Trevor will be running power to 3 points. To a post for their camper, then to the large shed, where mostly power tools will be used. Then to the small shed where smaller craft tools will mostly be used. Trevor will then run wiring, and install new outlet & switch boxes. Then the clients will have insulation put in the walls, and then finished walls installed in each shed as well.

I finished this week with the final sanding of a drywall repair job that I began at the beginning of the week for a new client in my own neighborhood, Walton's Grove. It required multiple visits due to the required dry times for each of the skim coats.
In between the skim coats on the drywall repair I was able to visit a few regular clients of mine who had a few tasks for me. A regular client in Lebanon, TN had my install new garage storage racks, which will open up a ton of space in her garage. Other tasks included hanging mirrors over nightstands, a large light fixture of a dining room table, I hung various décor on walls, curtain rods, installed floating shelves, and assembled a new cabinet.

I had the honor of doing some work for a very special friend who recently moved to Tennessee, from California, with her youngest son. Debby asked me to do a couple fairly large projects on a rental property she owns in the Clarksville, TN area. Debby is special to me because, like me, she is a survivor of the Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival shooting in Las Vegas on October 1, 2017. A fresh start in Tennessee has been part of both of our triumphant journeys of healing.
The first half of this video shows me removing an old play structure that was not only unsafe due to major wood rot, but also wasn't pleasant to look at. The second half of the video shows me sanding, and preparing the entire deck for new waterproofing, and stain. Then applying the new coat of stain.
